I was with a quilting friend a couple of weeks ago and she gifted me with 3 little clips. Turns out they are the hottest new notion in the quilting industry. There are many uses, but I will highlight a couple in this post.
When binding a quilt, either by hand or machine, these clips are truly handy! These are 1/4 inch “bite” but I hear there are other sizes available too. They are wide enough to pick up and pinch easily, which is a plus for tired arthritic hands (not that I would know PTL!)

Notice the small dots near the left edge of the clip in this photo. This is how the clip holds the edge without slipping out.

Another use is to replace pins to hold fabrics together when making a bag. I used them in place of pins when top-stitching. I can sew right up to the clip and don’t get any pin pricks!

Great for Top-Stitching!
If you have not tried them yet, perhaps you will be lucky enough to get some for a Secret Pal present, or from a Bee friend at Christmas.
They are available at many quilt stores and come in a variety of package sizes and colors.
